As 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (NIV) reminds us: "Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies."

Are you ready to take the next step in your health journey? The leader of this group, Melody Hord, thinks God could be nudging you to take action.

Whether you’re looking to improve your eating habits, increase your physical activity, strengthen your prayer life, or break free from unhealthy patterns, the Get Fit 40 Day Challenge is here to support and encourage you!

What to Expect

  • Weekly Support & Accountability Meetings – Join us on Thursdays at 9 AM, June 5 – July 17, at Patterson Grove Baptist Church for encouragement, guidance, and structured goal-setting. (If you are unable to come to the on-sight meetings, you are encouraged to create your own personal 40-day goal. Highlights will be posted on the PG Facebook page. Everybody can commit to 40 days to a healthier you.)

  • Personalized Health Insights – Billy Wease is offering a discounted Inbody body fat and muscle index assessment to all participants at his pharmacy in Gastonia. Call 704-867-3518 to schedule an appointment (offer valid through June 30, 2025).

  • Practical and Faith-Based Guidance – Weekly videos featuring expert advice and insights on nutrition, exercise, and spiritual well-being.

What Can You Focus on for 40 Days?

  • Improve strength and flexibility

  • Strengthen your prayer life

  • Break harmful habits

  • Develop meaningful routines

Whatever your personal goals may be, this challenge provides the tools, encouragement, and community support to help you thrive. We won’t prescribe a one-size-fits-all plan—but we will explore The Daniel Plan and other trusted wellness approaches to help guide you.
